SOME 70 street children in Iloilo City received cash aid and hygiene kits given to their parents.
The City Government, together with Department of Social Welfare and Development Office (DSWD)-Western Visayas, provided P1,000 each financial assistance to beneficiaries.
City Hall will give out P500 to identified recipients as Christmas gifts this December.
They are chosen by City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) every year; a few of them are listed under the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program.
The initiative aims to help the children and their families especially in this time of pandemic. (PR)
