THE “16 Days of Activism” against gender-based violence will be celebrated by Zontians all over the world. The event runs from Nov. 25, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, to Dec. 10, the Human Rights Day. This was initiated in 1991 by the first Women’s Global Leadership Institute held at Rutgers University.

For more than a century, Zonta International has sustained the 16 Days of Activism program as a platform for gender equality and stopping violence against women and other related issues.

RCBC Bankard supports Zonta’s women empowerment campaign

The RCBC Bankard, the credit card arm of RCBC, will team up with the international women’s rights group Zonta International, in support of its “16 Days of Activism” initiative.

During this period, RCBC Bankard credit cardholders can donate a minimum of 800 reward points, equivalent to P200, to help fund projects aimed at women empowerment. RCBC Bankard will make a bonus rewards points donation on behalf of the cardholders.

From Nov. 25 to Dec. 10, RCBC Bankard will have a dedicated link: forms.rcbcbankard.com/zontadonate where cardholders can conveniently redeem their rewards points online, 24/7 at their own convenience. RCBC Bankard supports programs that help develop the nation while allowing its cardholders to actively participate in giving.

Zonta Internanational promotes our Empowering Women Through Advocacy and Service campaign, and encourages everyone as well as our Zonta clubs and districts to take part in actions that influence the creation and implementation of laws to end violence against women. This campaign is important to improve the lives of women, their children and communities.
