THE City Health Office advised the public on Tuesday, November 24, to avoid overcrowding shopping malls and grocery stores during the holiday celebrations.
Acting City Health Officer Dr. Lorraine Nery also reminded that those who are under 21 years old and over 60 years old are still not allowed outside their homes.
Nery said that if possible, people should start shopping early for Christmas rather than doing a last-minute shopping.
"Holiday shopping ninyo kung mahimo walay rush nga shopping or groceries, maghinay-hinay na kada-adlaw para dili ta mag-crowd didto sa mga malls or sa mga grocery stores during the holidays," Nery said.
Christmas parties or gatherings are not discouraged, but it should be attended by household members only, and to avoid inviting people, be it a relative or not, from another household.
Last week, Mayor Oscar Moreno said he will ease the quarantine restrictions in the city if the decline in Covid-19 local cases is sustained before the holiday season.
"We will try to see the trend within the coming days nga kung medyo makampante ta gamay sa atong mga figures, let's just hope and we will just see. But for now, kana lang gyud gyapon, we want to, as much as possible, limit the number of persons nga gagawas," Nery said.
