Business, government, medical sectors tackle health policies, economic recovery

CEBU City -- Leaders in business, government, and the medical community will discuss Covid 19-related public health policies that are crucial for economic recovery.

This November 28, 2020, at 4PM, Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) President Felix Taguiam, Cebu Interagency Task Force (IATF) Emergency Operations Center (EOC) Deputy Chief, Councilor Joel Garganera, Infectious Diseases Specialist Dr. Bryan Lim and a Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) executive, Marilyn Romero-Ventenilla of Teleperformance Philippines will be the panelists of an online forum, “TRANSITION: The New Normal in the Workplace (Economic Recovery amid the Pandemic)”.

A brief explainer on how the Cebuanos transitioned from the epidemic in Cebu in the 1900s will also be tackled by social historian and University of San Carlos (USC) professor, Dr. Jobers Reynes Bersales.

CCCI President Felix Taguiam will share about the plight of the micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Cebu, the measures taken to protect the workers and the support they need from the government and the public.

Teleperformance Philippines Senior Director for Marketing and Communications, Marilyn Romero-Ventenilla, for her part, will discuss how the BPOs responded to the pandemic, the occupational health and safety measures installed in the workplace, and the prospects of the BPO industry.

Infectious diseases specialist Dr. Bryan Lim will clarify medical breakthroughs in interventions to the Covid-19 infections and the public health policies that will facilitate health, safety and economic recovery.

Moreover, Cebu IATF EOC Deputy Chief Councilor Joel Garganera will discuss ongoing public health policies and precautions for the upcoming holidays and Sinulog festivities.

Hosted by Palm Grass The Cebu Heritage Hotel and cosponsored by the CCCI, Bisdak Pride, Teleperformance Philippines, USC Museum, Museo Sugbo, Diyandi Heritage Center, Project Red Ribbon, the forum will be live streamed on the Facebook page of the hotel and co-sponsoring organizations.
