No voter registration on holidays

THERE will be no voter registration activities on November 30 and on December 8, 2020 as the country observes Bonifacio Day and the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, respectively.

Under Presidential Proclamation No. 845, November 30 is a regular public holiday while December 8 is a special non-working holiday.

In a public advisory, the Commission on Elections (Comelec) said all their offices nationwide will be closed on the two days.

There will also be no transactions with the public, including the issuance of voter's certification, both in the main and field offices on the said days.

Voter registration activities are held from Mondays to Thursdays, with Friday being designated as disinfection day.

Applications for registration may be submitted on the said days from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. in all Offices of the Election Officer (OEOs).

The Comelec said voter registration for the May 2022 national and local elections will run until September 30, 2021. (HDT/SunStar Philippines)
