OPERATIVES of the Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) of the Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO) have arrested a high-value individual (HVI) and seized some P2.8 million worth of illegal drugs in an anti-drug operation in Zamboanga City, an official announced Friday, November 27, 2020.
Police Captain Yashier Sarikin, ZCPO information officer, identified the arrested HVI drug suspect as Nadzmin Misba, 27, a resident of Sitio Asinan in Kasanyangan village, Zamboanga City.
Sarikin said Misba was arrested by the DEU of the ZCPO led by Police Major Jivertson Pelovello in a buy-bust operation around 7:15 p.m. Thursday in Talon-Talon village, this city.
He said the arresting team recovered from the possession of Misba some 200 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated value of P2.8 million, 99 bills of P1,000 boodle money topped with a genuine P1,000 bill as marked money.
Sarikin said the buy-bust operation was launched following a series of surveillance on the illegal drug trade activity of the suspect.
He said the suspect was detained while charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against him. (SunStar Zamboanga)
