THE leader of a notorious drug group fell in the hands of combined operatives of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Central Luzon (PDEA) and Palayan City Police in Nueva Ecija province on Wednesday, November 25, 2020.
PDEA Regional Director Christian Frivaldo identified the suspect as Elizalde Vicente alias "Zaldy" from Palayan City, Nueva Ecija.
Frivaldo said Vicente was among PDEA's target-listed personalities and is known as the leader of the notorious Zaldy Drug Group that was responsible for the proliferation of illegal substances in Nueva Ecija and other provinces.
Police were able to recover four sachets of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu) weighing 20 grams and other personal belongings from the suspect.
He will also be facing charges for violation of Section 5, Article II of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
