PHILIPPINE National Police (PNP) Chief Debold Sinas on Monday, November 30, 2020, announced the designation of 23 officials to new positions in the latest round of reorganization of senior police officers.
Sinas said the latest movement was recommended by the Senior Officers’ Placement and Promotion Board (SOPPB) due to vacancies created by seven retiring senior officials who have already applied for non-duty status ahead of their retirement date.
Policemen on non-duty status still reports to his office for daily attendance but is exempted from work. This is granted to retiring officers to give them time to comply with documentary requirements for their retirement.
Sinas emphasized that the selection process for placement and promotion is based strictly on seniority, merit, ability to lead and familiarity with operations of their units.
The new designations effective December 1, 2020 are:
