CITY Mayor Oscar Moreno Monday, November 30, 2020, said while health is still important, it is getting clear to the Inter-Agency Task Force that it is not mutually exclusive with the economy.

"You do not have to choose between health and economy, they can co-exist. Ayohon lang gyud nimo ang health and then the economy will be allowed to grow," Moreno said.

The city mayor said the economy is almost at par with health in terms of importance, adding that if the economy continues to deteriorate, great mass of people will be affected.

"Mao na nga gapaningkamot ang gobyerno to look for ways nga ang economic condition ma-rehabilitate, naay economic recovery program," Moreno said.

He further reminded the people to be conscious of their behavior as regulation will not be needed if they will always practice minimum public health standards.

The city mayor also said relaxation of quarantine restrictions, particularly adjusting curfew hours and age limit, will happen when the number of Covid-positive cases in Cagayan de Oro will decline.

"Gusto nato nga ato kanang i-relax and I think we will relax pero ang hangyo lang sad nako, ayaw ako tagaig rason to hesitate. Unsa may rason to hesitate? Kung mosaka ang kaso," Moreno said.

"We can allow some lifting but we have to show nga maka afford na ta, dapat makaya nato," he added.
