Notorious robbery suspect shot dead

A NOTORIOUS robbery suspect, a minor, was shot to death by an unidentified assailant in Purok Bayanihan, Barangay Villamonte, Bacolod City Monday morning, November 30, 2020.

Police Major Charles Gever, chief of Police Station 4, said the victim (name withheld for being a minor) sustained multiple wounds when an unidentified assailant fired at him around 3:45 a.m.

Investigation showed the victim was seen running along Purok Bayanihan when an unidentified suspect fired at him several times.

The victim was brought to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital (CLMMRH), but he did not survive.

Police recovered from the scene of the crime empty shells of a .45 caliber revolver.

Gever said the victim was identified as a notorious robbery suspect within his area of jurisdiction.

He said the victim was also a recidivist and an escapee from the Social Development Center of the Bacolod City Police Office.

Police are still conducting further investigation to identify the suspects and they are eyeing personal grudge as a possible motive in the killing of the victim.(MAP)
