Bacolod police probe slay of minor

THE Bacolod City Police Station 4 is still conducting a thorough investigation to identify the persons behind the killing of a minor in Purok Bayanihan, Barangay Villamonte on Monday, November 30.

Police Major Charles Gever, chief of Police Station 4, said they are eyeing two persons in the killing of the 17-year-old victim, who was identified as a notorious robbery suspect in Barangay Villamonte.

He said the victim (name withheld for being a minor) sustained multiple wounds when an unidentified assailant fired at him around 3:45 a.m.

Investigation showed the victim was seen running along Purok Bayanihan when the unidentified gunman fired at him several times.

The victim was brought to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital (CLMMRH), but he did not survive.

Gever said they are still waiting for the decision of the family on the conduct of an autopsy examination.

"For now, we are facing difficulty to convince the mother for the conduct of an autopsy," he said.

He added they are eyeing personal grudge as possible motive in the killing of the victim.
