SHABU worth P442,000 were seized and 25 individuals involved in different crimes were arrested by the Baguio City Police Office (BCPO) in a five-day operation (November 23 to 27).
In a report, eight of the suspected criminals were arrested for illegal drug activities in violation of Republic Act (RA) 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Based on the report by BCPO, four were arrested for estafa, three were arrested for falsification of documents, two were arrested for Violation of RA 11332 (Mandatory Reporting of Notifiable Diseases and Health Events of Public Health Concern Act), and two each for violation of RA 7610 and violation of RA 9262 (Violence Against Women and Children Act of 2004), while one each were arrested for robbery, acts of lasciviousness and violation of Presidential Decree 17 (Revised Philippine Highway Act).
The arrested suspects and pieces of evidence confiscated were brought to the respective police station primary responsible in the conduct of the operations for proper disposition.
