15 new Covid-19 cases recorded in Cagayan de Oro

THE Cagayan de Oro Health Office has recorded 15 new coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases, all of which are local transmission, epidemiologist Dr. Joselito Retuya reported Wednesday, December 2, 2020.

This brought the total number of confirmed coronavirus infections in the city to 2,380.

Acting City Health Officer Dr. Lorraine Nery said of the 15 new local cases, four are close contacts of previously confirmed cases and two are local authorized persons outside residence (Apors).

Of the 2,380 total Covid-19 cases in the city, 389 are under the returning overseas Filipino workers/locally stranded individuals (ROFs/LSIs) category and 1,991 cases are local transmissions.

According to Nery, the 1,991 local cases consist of 155 persons deprived of liberty (PDLs), 1,014 local index cases, and 822 local cases with link.

Cagayan de Oro has recorded 470 active cases, 61 of whom are admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center, 393 are outpatients, and 16 are ROFs/LSIs.

The city also registered 20 new coronavirus-positive persons who are now tagged as recovered after their repeat swab test results came out negative. This brought the total number of recoveries in Cagayan de Oro to 1,805.

Of the figure, 271 are LSIs, 101 are ROFs and 1,433 are local cases (community: 1,175; Apors: 258).

The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city is now at 105.
