THE Department of Agriculture (DA) in Central Visayas has tapped farmer associations for the development of halal farms to cater to the growing halal consumers in the region and beyond.

He emphasized the importance of promoting and developing the halal industry, especially in Cebu Province.

Resource speaker Cadar Menor of the Peace Building Conflict Resolution urged the participants to raise their level of awareness on halal and to stimulate understanding with non-Muslims.
