THE Progressive Alliance of Capitol Employees (Pace) expressed optimism that the workers at the provincial government will receive the maximum amount of Collective Negotiation Agreement (CNA) incentives this holiday season.

Pace President Renelo Lastierre and Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson signed the CNA on Thursday afternoon, December 3, 2020.

"We believe that Governor Lacson will reward the efforts of the provincial government employees in working with him in the fight against coronavirus pandemic," Lastierre said.

Lastierre represents the more than 3,400 employees of the provincial government.

Last week, the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Negros Occidental gave Lacson the authority to sign the three-year period CNA, which will start 2020 until 2023.

Lastierre said the signed CNA will serve as the basis for Capitol employees to avail of its incentives, based on the available amount of MOOE savings.

The duly-signed CNA will be registered to the Civil Service Commission and Department of Labor and Employment, he added.

Lastierre said they will continue lobbying for the release of an extra bonus for all employees.

It can only be availed through the Incentive Benefits for Exemplary Services awards given to a local government unit.

In 2019, Capitol employees received a P60,000 extra bonus on top of their 13th- and 14th-month pay, as well as cash gifts.
