THIRD District Representative Jose Francisco Benitez has filed a bill pushing for the establishment of a Land Transportation Office (LTO) District Office in E.B. Magalona.
In House Bill 8034 proposed by Benitez, he explained that the establishment of an LTO District Office in EB Magalona will bring the services of the said office closer to the people of the Third District and ensure the speedy disposition of applications for driver's license and vehicle registration and strict enforcement of land transportation laws.
Economic growth in the third district has been driving an increase in the volume of LTO transactions that overwhelm the LTO Bacolod District Office, which currently services the applicants from the Third District, Benitez said.
"There have been discussions to establish an LTO extension office in EB Magalona to address the need. In fact, in December 2019, the municipal government of the town has donated a parcel of land to LTO for the construction of the extension office," Benitez added.
