109 DENR employees get service excellence awards

SOME 109 Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) employees were recognized over the weekend for their exemplary performance and as part of the program on awards and incentives for service excellence (Praise).

Paquito Moreno, Jr., executive director of the DENR in Central Luzon, who awarded the certificate of recognition in a simple ceremony, thanked awardees for their commitment and dedication.

The awards were given to employees who tendered 15 to 40 years of service for the department.

Special awards were also given to ten employees who pursued their professional growth and completed their graduate and post-graduate studies at their own personal expense, as well as employees who showed unparalleled dedication to the organization.

A simultaneous awarding was done along with the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Offices and Community Environment and Natural Resources Offices of the region.

A special award was given to Erica L. Andres of the Administrative Division for rising to the occasion and demonstrating remarkable resilience, hard work, and dependability. Architect Diobelle Marie A. Lazatin, Engineer Christoper A. Cortez of the Surveys and Mapping Division and Engineer Guillen O. Cadag of the Administrative Division were also recognized for their successful implementation of infrastructure projects of DENR-Central Luzon.

The department also recognizes Forester Danilo A. Pascasio for remaining steadfast and being committed to protecting the forests in Aurora, despite real threats and injuries sustained from the enemies of the environment. A posthumous award was also given to five forest rangers and forest protection officers of the DENR for their ultimate sacrifice to champion the cause of forest protection and conservation.

Praise is designed to encourage creativity, innovativeness, efficiency, integrity and productivity in the public service by recognizing and rewarding officials and employees.
