LAWMEN have arrested a fisherman and seized illegal drugs in an anti-drug operation in Zamboanga City, the police reported Sunday, December 6, 2020.
Police Captain Edwin Duco, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula information officer, identified the arrested fisherman as Almajer Kahil Mukasil, 40, a resident of San Jose Road in Zone II village, Zamboanga City.
Duco said Mukasil was arrested in a buy-bust operation around 11:30 a.m. Friday on Doctor Varela Street in Zone I village, Zamboanga City.
Recovered from Mukasil were some 10 grams of suspected shabu packed in three heat-sealed plastic sachets with an estimated worth of P68,000 and the P500 marked money.
The arrested suspect has been placed under the temporary custody of Zamboanga City Police Office headquarters for proper disposition. (SunStar Zamboanga)
