Central Luzon Covid-19 cases breach 23,000 mark

THE total number of coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases in Central Luzon has now reached 23,406, the Department of Health (DOH) regional office said in its December 7 bulletin.

Of the number, 87 percent or 20,483 have already recovered, while the death rate slightly increased to 3.6 percent with 840 recorded deaths as of Tuesday, December 8.

Active cases are still at 8.9 percent with 2,085 cases recorded in the different provinces of the region.

Thirty-six percent or 765 cases of the active cases are currently asymptomatic.

Mild cases have increased to 1,254, while there are 55 severe cases and 11 critical cases as of Tuesday.

For December 7 alone, 73 active cases were recorded in Pampanga, while 19 were recorded in Angeles City.

Bulacan remains the top province with the most number of cases, at 9,575. Pampanga followed with 4,114 and Bataan with 3,306 cases.
