Marian Rivera ventures into business

Marian Rivera launches her second business venture, Flora Vida Home, an extension of the brand she created for her floral arrangements.

The GMA-7 actress has been creating flower arrangements under Flora Vida and has now expanded the brand's offerings to create Flora Vida Home.

Flora Vida Home offers furniture, pillowcases, table runners, placemats, coasters, curtains, and many other items that Marian personally designed.

Creating a home line has been a long-time dream, and it was only these past few months that Marian had enough time to focus on this passion project.

Acting jobs take a backseat, but she still has the weekly program Tadhana, which she tapes from home.

When is she going to star in a series?

Back to Marian's latest business venture, most of the clients that order from Flora Vida Home are the long-time customers who order floral arrangements from Flora Vida.

One chair that she designed is priced at P50,000 and up.

While it is made with imported materials that she purchased from Europe, the furniture is made by the craftsmen of Paete, Laguna.

This is also Marian's way of helping provide jobs to the craftsmen of Paete.

“So very happy ako sa kinalabasan dahil gawang Pinoy pa rin.”

Kris Bernal is busy with the design and construction of her dream home, which she describes as "hotel-like" and "modern-industrial."

"Mas focused muna kami ngayon sa career and sa house construction more than the wedding."

However, the Kapuso actress also revealed that she and Perry will get married even if their house is not finished yet.

She said, "Sabi namin ni Perry, hindi naman porke't nagpapagawa kami ng bahay, hihintayin namin matapos.

"Siyempre, di ba, 'tapos saka lang kami magpapakasal? Masyadong mahaba.

Then we'll start na rin preparing for the wedding."

Kris said the construction of the house will start in a month's time, hoping it will be finished in a year.

She said, "Yung construction will start by January 2021. So most likely in two years.

"Or sana less, in a year sana. Hoping kami na in one year lang yung construction, but since it's big, it's gonna take long talaga."

Assisting her is mom Analyn Tan, who purchased the Quezon City lot for Kris in 2014.

Kris said her dream house is "hotel-like" with a "modern industrial" theme.

"Yung lot na yung, I bought 2014. Siyempre katas yun ng trabaho ko in the industry.

"It's located in Quezon City and four floors siya. Basement, ground, first floor, and then roof deck.

"Ayun, parang lahat ng... May theater, may office ako finally.

"And then may gym, of course, may swimming pool, may play room.

"Parang kumbaga, it's a house na rest house na rin for the family."

Kris also said, "Ganun yung dream namin, parang hotel-like. Then ano, it's modern industrial."
