THE wife of a barangay councilor in Toledo City was able to follow her husband and his alleged mistress inside a lodging house in the neighboring town of Pinamungajan on Friday morning, Dec. 11, 2020.
When Emily (not her real name) tried to get her husband to come out of the room they rented, he refused. This prompted Emily to call the police for assistance.
When the police arrived at the scene, they managed to open the door and found the other woman, who was fully clothed. Apparently, the barangay councilor was able to leave the room through the back.
Maj. Felicisimo Aranas Jr., Pinamungajan police chief, said the other woman is a public school teacher, who is also from Toledo City.
She is also married, he said.
The public school teacher is detained in the town’s police station while she waits for charges to be filed against her.
Aranas said they are also preparing concubinage charges against the barangay councilor.
He said they will also assist the public school teacher’s husband should he decide to file adultery charges against her. (BBT / JKV)
