THE Coast Guard District Southern Visayas (CGDSV) announced that the BRP Cape Engaño [MRRV-4411] will also be opened to the public during the open-house tour of BRP Gabriela Silang [OPV-8301] on Friday, December 18.

Captain Eduardo De Luna, CGDSV commander, said the two ships will be open to the public from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

De Luna reiterated that they will strictly enforce the protocols set by the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) for visitors who will board the two vessels.

Minors aged below 15 years old and elderly people aged 65 years old and above are not allowed to board the vessels.

Visitors are also required to wear their face masks and face shield while inside the premises of the vessel, and must also adhere to physical distancing.

Prior to boarding the vessel, visitors will also receive a briefing in order to inform them of the respective ships' own protocols during the tour.

The open-house tour of the two PCG ships are part of the CGDSV's 3rd Founding Anniversary.
