ENGINEER Joemarie Gochuico and lawyer Belinda Siason tied the knot before a church wedding held at St. Jude Thaddeus Parish in Barangay Alijis, Bacolod City on December 14, 2020.
The newlyweds are Rotarians belonging to the Rotary Club of Bacolod-East (RCBE), wherein Atty. Belle currently serves as president of the club while Engineer Joem is a new member of RCBE.
Both were exhibiting gratefulness to the Lord for allowing their wedding to push through despite the threat of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Their union was a celebration of love, friendship, laughter and family as they tied themselves in the sacrament of marriage.
Both their parents Vicente and Cristina Siason, Atty. Belle's parents and Dinia Gochuico, mother of Engineer Joem blessed their union that could withstand the test of time.
Their principal male sponsors were Bacolod City Mayor Evelio R. Leonardia, Franklin Fuentebella, Butch Soliguen, Silvino Gallardo, Lieutenant Colonel Roel Ebreo, lawyer Leopoldo Cioco, Jr., Engineer Chris Rios, Edwin Javier, Dr. Gabriel Hinolan, Engineer Noel Angeles, Robert Lee Bullacher, Engineer Ramon Manojo, Don Silverio Escudero IV, Haris Nandwani and Philip Araneta.
The female principal sponsors were lawyer Joy Barbasa-Alba, lawyer Nelsie Arcolas, Diana Lachica, lawyer Sonya Verdeflor, Jennifer Ebreo, Ma. Mercedes Joson, Elenesa Abong, Em Ang, Roche Ann Jalandra, Adelfa Rios, Liezel Escudero, Ma. Theresa Martina Hinolan, Lucita Bullacher and Amparo Claridad.
Engineer Kit Olvido served as the couple's best man and Janelle Gochuico as the Maid of Honor.
The secondary sponsors who lighted the path were Anthony Jose Loth Alfredo Ayco and Mary Kristine Torrecampo. Ma. Cecilia Duyo and Julius Duyo clothed the couple to be one.
Emmette Salapante and Jera Mae Salapante bound the couple.
The groom's men were Engineers Nelson Go, Jr., Leo Prince Gicana and Raymar Gonzales and Ferdie Imperial.
The bride's maids were Ella Clarizze Ebreo, Rashed Marie Lim, Rochelle Antonette J. Kabayao and Kaye Duyo.
Reverend Father Roy Christian Gesulgon, the officiating priest appreciated the couple for searching the law of love as love never fails.
He told them that true happiness comes from the Lord.
This union is a submission to the fundamental respect to God and to whom He has ordained to live together in the sacred covenant of marriage.
Only with God that miracles happen, he said.
Father Roy asked the groom (husband) to live like wine which does not run out as long as he recognizes the action of God in their lives.
When difficulties strike, Father Roy asked the couple to simply remember this moment that they vowed before God to live together for richer or for poorer, in sickness and health, till death do them part.
"When the rough time comes, come back to this church and remember what you have promised. Keep your promises no matter how small they are. Marriage does not promise a bed of roses. But your eight years of being in love is enough for this marriage to work," the priest added.
He wished them happy days to flourish in their marriage life and bring into the world, children to complete their family.
The newlywed for their part expressed their sincerest gratitude to all who graced their union and made their wedding a truly meaningful occasion in their life.
