WITH all the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, let’s not forget the real reason for the season—the joyous birth of Christ Jesus! In fact, you can’t spell the word Christmas, without the letters, C-H-R-I-S-T! Birthdays mean loving and giving, so let this be your main gist for the holidays!

As it was for Asia’s Best Airport Hotel and Global’s Best Casino Hotel...none other than Mactan’s (Cebu) Waterfront Airport Hotel and Casino.

After the solemn Christmas tree lighting ceremony led by Department of Tourism 7 Regional Director Shahlimar Hofer Tamano and Lapu-Lapu City Mayor Junard “Ahong” Chan, with Tourism, Cultural and Historical Affairs Commission Chairperson and City First Lady Cindi King-Chan and Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. Casino Filipino Mactan branch manager Nestor Legaspina, the event began.

In focus by the Waterfront Group, Cebu City and Airport Hotels and Casinos are to raise funds for 2,500 medical frontliners and 3,000 families totalling P3.2 million, representing their corporate social responsibility (CSR) project for this season.

Furthermore, in the words of Waterfront Airport OIC and rooms manager Ali Banting: “We will be giving grocery packs on both Christmas Eve and Day to less fortunate families in our barangay, so they can happily celebrate the season. There will also be special ‘Christmas Meals in a Box’ for our brave frontliners, who will miss family togetherness due to medical workloads.”

You can still contribute and be a “Light of Hope,” by dining in during any festive Friday at the hotel, where 10 percent of the profit will fund its “Christmas Meals in a Box.” Truly, Waterfront Hotels are marking the true essence of Christmas, loving and giving the Christ-like way!

The theme this year is “Buy and support local,” an act of gratitude to their partners and customers who remained loyal in spite of the devastating economic pandemic; a time of paying back to the community that has served them well!

In addition, Joanna Salazar, Robinsons Group marcomm manager, announced: “We have irresistible and exciting promos. The Gift of Joy raffle is one: An iPad 8th Gen and a 23-inch Devant Smart TV are raffle prizes that await shoppers at the mall or supermarket. Promo runs till Jan. 31, 2021.
