A DRIVER and a beautician were arrested in separate anti-drug operations in the province of Zamboanga del Norte, the police reported Thursday, December 17, 2020.
Police Captain Edwin Duco, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula information officer, identified the arrested suspects as Noel Corro Palalon, 36, driver; and Boyet Arquiza Delima, 29, beautician.
Duco said Palalon was arrested in a buy-bust operation around 7 p.m. Wednesday in Poblacion North village, Polanco, Zamboanga Del Norte.
Seized from Palalon were some P2,700 worth of suspected shabu packed in seven heat-sealed plastic sachets and P500 marked money.
Duco said that Delima, a drug watch-listed personality, was arrested in another buy-bust operation around 6:08 p.m. Wednesday in Sitio Pantukan, Poblacion village, Siocon, Zamboanga del Norte.
Recovered from Delima were some P4,000 worth of suspected shabu packed in four heat-sealed plastic sachets and P500 marked money.
Charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against them suspects, who are detained. (SunStar Zamboanga)
