POLICE operatives have arrested in a law enforcement operation a native of Katipunan, Zamboanga del Norte, who is listed as one of the most wanted persons of the province, an official announced Thursday.
Arrested was Darius Eloy Palacio, 41, according to Police Major Vincent Magallanes Vertudazo, police chief of Katipunan, Zamboanga del Norte.
Vertudazo said that Palacio was arrested by joint team of policemen in a law enforcement operation by way of service of warrant of arrest around 7 p.m. Tuesday in Maguyan village, Silang, Cavite.
Vetudazo said that Palacio, a construction worker, and presently residing in Sampaloc 3 village, Dasmariñas City, Cavite, is the Top 10 most wanted persons in the province of Zamboanga del Norte.
He said that Palacio has standing warrant of arrest for the crime of arson issued on January 31, 2019 by the court of Dipolog City, the capital of Zamboanga del Norte province.
He said Palacio is now under the temporary custody of Silang Municipal Police Station prior to proper turnover to Katipunan Municipal Police Station for proper disposition. (SunStar Zamboanga)
