POLICE arrested a 22-year-old painter for alleged illegal drug activity in Ormoc City, Thursday afternoon, December 24, 2020.
The suspect was identified as Delmar Mendoza, listed as a street-level individual and a resident of the city.
An undercover operative was able to purchase from the suspect one sachet containing suspected shabu using P500 marked money, police said.
The buy-bust was conducted by Ormoc City Drug Enforcement Unit led by Major Alex Echon, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.
The suspect and the recovered items were brought to Ormoc City Police Station 1 for proper disposition.
Mendoza will face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (SunStar Philippines)
