The Bfar 7 turned over seven 22-footer fiberglass reinforced plastic boats with marine engine and accessories to the Boljoon Municipal Government.
The mayor, Merlou Derama, expressed his gratitude for the bureau’s assistance, which will be given to the fisherfolks identified as among the “poorest of the poor” in coastal communities.
Representing the bureau, Ionne Elena Villagonzalo, chief of the Bfar 7 Regional Fisheries Training and Fisherfolk Coordination Division, urged the fisherfolk to also help the Bfar 7 by making use of the livelihood aid by avoiding illegal fishing methods.
