Loving your neighbor this Yuletide season

I HAVE thought about what to write when I remembered that many times I heard people complaining about their neighbors. I see that some are too frank to voice out their concerns, and others would opt to remain silent as they do not want to clash with their neighbors. Those who were honest to say how they feel for a long time have not been communicating with each other since – some even up to now could not even greet each other Merry Christmas. How sad it is to live a life with unresolved conflict with your neighbor. Let me share with you some of the reasons why neighbors do not reconcile because of disrespected rights even if it is Christmas – a time for love and forgiveness.

Loud Videoke Session. The modern age appreciates silence less and in time will be a legend, I guess. Some feel that singing out screaming gives a feeling of recognition. There is nothing wrong with singing as I believe it releases pent-up emotions and anxieties. But keep in mind that others remain to see silence as music to their ears – perfection that fills the air. Remember that people have different tastes in noises, some can dance in the tunes of the wind that only one can hear, while others can sway with the actual tune of the music where many can hear.

Improper Dog Poop Disposal. It is not an art to allow dogs or pets to defecate in a neighbor’s gate or their actual space. This simply implies an unseemly character of earthly existence that breaks the basic rules in the promotion of health. I believe that the odor of the said animal waste is a potent reflection of that negligent person’s character. They are like killers burying the neighborhood with their garbage.

Negligent Vehicle Parking. Do not be an idiot to park your cars anywhere or park improperly. Earn respect from everyone in the neighborhood by good deeds like following simple rules. This may be a form of strict living, but I guess does not restrict the living since it promotes order. When neighbors live by the rule of what is fair to everyone, everyone is lifted higher. So, with discipline, the whole world can win and live a beautiful life!

So, write it on your heart, that every day will be your best day to be responsible for your acts. Bear in your mind that people are also remembered by the rules they break – this is sad but true! Obey the rules and at the same time practice love and learn to forgive, it is always a divine rule. Never take actions that break the peace of mind of your neighborhoods. A thing of peace is a joy forever!

Merry Christmas and Advance Happy New Year!
