GUNMEN onboard a white van shot dead Friday, January 1, Ruben Feliciano, who ran as mayor of San Fernando town in Cebu in last year's elections.
The shooting happened near Feliciano's rented apartment on Fulton Street, Barangay Lahug, Cebu City around 6 p.m. Friday.
Feliciano was reportedly walking along with his nephew, Ken Feliciano, 30, when the gunmen onboard the van stopped and shot the victims.
Ken was wounded in the incident and was rushed to a hospital for treatment.
Ruben, on the other hand, was declared dead on the spot by the responding medical personnel. (Benjie Talisic)
