NEGROS Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson has cautioned Negrenses of the new strain of Covid-19 virus.
In his New Year's Day message, Lacson said residents of the province should not be complacent as Covid-19 will remain in 2020 and there is a possibility that the new strain could be more dangerous since it is more infectious.
The governor also pointed out the importance of everyone's cooperation by following the minimum health protocols.
So far, there is no new Covid-19 virus strain reported in the country.
