AFTER a challenging year, SM shows that it truly cares by giving hope and spreading good cheer to local frontliners through Bears of Joy project.
SM City Tarlac spearheaded the endorsement of a total of 427 Bears of Joy to Mayor Cristy Angeles, which will be given to the family of frontliners and children with special needs in Tarlac City.
The SM Bears of Joy is an annual charity project of SM Cares, SM Supermalls and Toy Kingdom that aims to offer shoppers the opportunity to share their blessings despite their busy holiday schedules.
As customers purchase SM Bears of Joy, they get two bears for only P200 – that’s one for them to keep and the other to be donated to a child in need or a frontliner.
As 2020 has been quite a different year, SM Cares honors the bravery and selflessness of Covid-19 frontliners with the launch of four specially designed plushies, namely, Ace, the Soldier Bear; Heart, the Nurse Bear; Max, the Police Bear; and Kit, the Doctor Bear.
This sharing of “bears of joy” would not be possible without the participation of the SM shoppers who especially purchased these bears to be donated to the chosen beneficiaries.
