A BACOLOD City-based yoga, meditation and holistic wellness center is launching Friday, January 8, 2021, its Experience And Transform (EAT) Program with courses to be offered under partial or full scholarships to chosen beneficiaries.
The Daily Prana located on the ground floor of LOC Residences, in a press release, said the courses include basic meditation, yoga and energy healing (reiki).
The over 40 officers, members and sponsors have already nominated their beneficiaries, and the Board members have chosen the first 10 scholars who will participate in the EAT Program this month focusing on basic meditation.
Its owner and founder M.G. Sharma said service fees for wellness are usually quite expensive, thus, most people, although willing, shy away from enrolling in these programs.
Sharma said some hide their desire for healing and the frustration that comes from this feeling of lack and emptiness eventually develop into deeper issues not only within themselves but also in their external relationships.
Consequently, these low and negative emotions develop and spread throughout the community.
"One of the most effective tools or practices that will really help us cope with the challenges that beset our daily lives is meditation," she said, adding that it provides cleansing for the soul much like how taking a bath cleanses the physical body.
Through the EAT Program, the center aims to spread healing and positivity to more individuals so that not only a few get to experience this positive transformation, Sharma also said.
In 2018, the Daily Prana opened its doors in the city and started offering courses such as yoga, reiki, meditation, energy healing, manifestation, life coaching and other personal growth and transformation programs.
These services and courses are geared towards providing relief to the growing number of people suffering from depression, anxiety, panic attacks or just mere emptiness and searching for a sense of direction or the path to self-discovery.
For two years now, it has more than 300 students and clients whose individual life transformations serve as testimonials for success in its mission to spread wellness, healing and positive energy.
Meanwhile, the organization's officers for this year are composed of Atty. Nea Cecille Quiachon as secretary and Dr. Patricia Canto De Guzman as treasurer.
Its program leads are Marissa Montalvo-Corral and Siony Hijara-Ferraris for external relations; Tin Panes-Ceraspe, Dr. Cesar De Guzman and Michelle Visera for media; and Jonelyn Grijaldo-Lee, Grace Ann Villanueva and Meg Lizares-Siana for projects and charity.
They will be working with the officers of the Reiki Practitioners of the Philippines (RPAP), another affiliate organization under Daily Prana – India and Daily Prana – Bacolod. (EPN)
