OVER 20,000 individuals who tested positive for coronavirus disease (Covid-19) in Central Luzon have recovered.
Based on the data released by the Department of Health (DOH)-Central Luzon, a total of 23,574 out of the 26,137 patients who contracted the disease since March have already recuperated.
This is equivalent to 90.2 percent recovery rate for the region, the agency reported.
As of Wednesday, January 6, the number of active cases in the region was at 1,579, of which 10 were critical, 35 were in critical condition, 1,026 had mild symptoms and 508 were asymptomatic.
The number of Covid-related deaths, meanwhile, was at 984, or about 3.8 percent of the total number.
