BEFORE the unpleasant prophecies, I am quoting one of my favorite saints, St. Therese of Lisieux, because regardless of what's coming to the world, I trust she would come and help if we call on her, for she had said: "I am perfectly sure I shall not stay inactive in heaven. My desire is to go on working for the Church and for souls. That is what I
keep asking God and I am certain He will say yes."
And now to the end-times mission...
There are good reasons to believe we are indeed in the "last times" of an era. As much could be clearly gathered from Our Lord Jesus Christ in his message to St. Faustina Kowalska in Poland and from the Blessed Mother in her warnings through Sister Agnes Sasagawa in Japan. My past columns had dwelt on the messages from these apparitions.
But there are more disclosures from Heaven that hint on the times we are in, including those given by the Blessed Mother to Fr. Stefano Gobbi, founder of the Marian Movement of Priests, whose prophecies are now unfolding.
During the pontificate of John Paul II who is now a saint, the Blessed Mother told Fr. Gobbi as follows.
"When this Pope (John Paul II) will have completed the task which Jesus has entrusted to him and I will come down from heaven to receive his sacrifice, all of you will be cloaked in a dense darkness of apostasy, which will then become general. There will remain faithful only that little remnant which, in these years, by accepting my motherly invitation, has let itself be enfolded in the secure refuge of my Immaculate Heart. And it will be this little faithful remnant, prepared and formed by me, that will have the task of receiving Christ, who will return to you in glory, bringing about in this way the beginning of the new era which awaits you."
Four years after this message was given, the Blessed Mother also told Fr. Gobbi:
"The times will be shortened, because I am Mother of Mercy and each day I offer, at the throne of Divine justice, my prayer united to that of the children who are responding to me with a 'yes' and consecrating themselves to my Immaculate Heart... The times will be shortened, because I am your Mother and I want to help you, with my presence, to carry the cross of the painful events through which you are living.
"How many times have I already intervened in order to set back further and further in time the beginning of the great trial, for the purification of this poor humanity, now possessed and dominated by the Spirits of Evil.
"The times will be shortened, because the great struggle which is being waged between God and his Adversary is above all at the level of spirits and is taking place above you... I entrust you to the powerful protection of these Archangels and of your Guardian Angels, so that you may be guided and defended in the struggle which is now being waged between heaven and earth, between paradise and hell, between Saint Michael the Archangel and Lucifer himself, who will appear VERY SOON with all the power of the Antichrist."
In recent days, there's a message from God the Father to mystic Fr. Michel Rodrigue whom this space had accommodated several times. Here's the message of God the Father only last Dec. 31.
"Great darkness envelops the world, and now is the time. Satan is going to attack the physical body of My children whom I created in My image and in My likeness. From the beginning, it is through and in the Word that humanity has received and still receives existence.
"After the original fall of the first couple, only My Beloved Son could give you back, through His sacrifice on the Cross, My likeness, which you had lost. Through living waters that gushed out of His Heart, He let flow the source of the Sacrament that makes you one with Him and with Me. Satan wants to break your bodies, which are the temples of the Holy Spirit: My Spirit of love that dwells in you.
"Satan, through his puppets who rule the world, wants to inoculate you with his venom. He will push his hatred against you to the point of compulsory imposition that will take no account of your freedom. Once again, many of My children who cannot defend themselves will be the martyrs of silence, as was the case for the Holy Innocents. This is what Satan and his henchmen have always done.
"I am warning you, all my faithful and every person of good will, in this solemn octave of My Son's Nativity on earth. Today, on the blessed Feast of the Divine Motherhood of the Virgin Mary, chosen among all women, the time begins of hostility between her descendants and the ancient serpent, who is the devil and Satan. Because you are in My Son, Jesus, through His Holy Baptism, you are His lineage, His descendants. You are all children of My daughter, chosen among all women: the Virgin Mary. She is your Mother.
"Small flock, fear not. I will assist you. In due time will come the glory of My Son, Jesus, in view of the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of My daughter and of your Blessed Mother Mary!"
Finally, I share the message of Our Lord Jesus to Sister Mildred Neuzil on May 22, 1954, for the importance of first examining ourselves in any attempt to make our world better. Jesus said:
"My little white dove, if the world is dying, it is because it will not let Me give it life. I am the resurrection and the life, and unless souls seek their life in Me, they will find only death and destruction. They fear man-made destroyers of life, yet destruction is in themselves. Man destroys himself through the evil that is in himself. Implements of war kill only that which is without. Man kills that within himself which none but he can kill. God is light; man is darkness, and unless he comes into the light, he will be forever darkness. The Voice of My Heart is the Voice of Mercy. If man will not listen, there is no more I can do, for he ties My hands."
