Active Covid cases in Apalit now at 29

THE fight against coronavirus disease (Covid-19) is not yet over as the surge in the number of cases continues as of Monday, January 11.

Based on the local government's health bulletin, the total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in the town was at 204, the highest among all municipalities in the fourth district of Pampanga.

Of the 204, 29 are currently active and almost half comes from the town's business district in Barangay San Vicente.

On Monday alone, January 11, four fresh cases were reported by the municipality, in which one is from Barangay San Vicente, two from Barangay Sampaloc and another from Barangay Barangay Tabuyuc.

Meanwhile, the public market in Apalit is still on partial lockdown while the operating hours for the whole facility is shortened up to 11 a.m. only due to vendors contracting Covid-19.

The local government said it is conducting a comprehensive contact tracing process to account all close contacts and contain the virus.
