A CEBU-BASED Group with various business holdings in the country, including a medical diagnostic business, has partnered with an international health enterprise to provide locals with a more innovative approach to healthcare and patient service.

The LH Paragon Group entered into a joint venture agreement with the Spain-based Keralty Group to form Keralty Prime Medical Clinic, in an online signing ceremony held recently.

“The LH Paragon Group is excited and looking forward to what this partnership with the Keralty Group will be able to achieve. With this partnership, we hope to be able to do our part to help provide better healthcare services for our fellow Filipinos in Cebu and the Visayas,” said Edmun Liu, LH Paragon Group chief financial officer.

“After some period analyzing the global health market, we strongly believe that we can help provide quality healthcare in the Philippines. (With the LH Paragon Group), we share the same values as a company, and we believe we can be better together by delivering care to the two main cities of the Philippines, which is Manila and Cebu,” Sergio Martinez, Keralty Group Global chief executive officer said.

He voiced optimism that the partnership will result in “an improved model for delivering high quality and cost-effective care.”

“As a result of our experience and know-how, we will establish a solid position in Cebu. We will not be here just to solve people’s illnesses but to help keep the people as healthy as possible, which is becoming more important in the last few months,” Martinez stressed.

According to Martinez, the partnership with LH Paragon, through its LH Prime Medical Clinic business, will bring Keralty’s presence in the country to seven clinics, in both Metro Manila and Cebu.

On their part, Liu shared: “In this time of pandemic, we have witnessed firsthand the importance of our people having access to good and affordable healthcare services. Combining our own local knowledge with the global expertise of our partner, we are optimistic that this new partnership will help bring us closer to that dream of accessible healthcare for our people.”

The LH Prime Medical Clinic business of the LH Paragon Group began its operations in 2004 as a medical diagnostic facility offering advanced technological services for outpatient care including specialized doctor’s clinics, laboratory tests, radiology and imaging, among others.

The Keralty Group is an international health enterprise leader in patient-centered care and health outcomes based in Spain, with presence in seven countries including the United States.

Globally, it operates 12 hospitals, 350 medical centers, with 22,000 employees and 17,000 medical doctors. It has been in operation for over 40 years, operating in seven countries and serving over six million customers.

In the Philippines, Keralty started its operations in 2016 and currently has a network of four clinics. With this partnership, Keralty aims to build a network of world-class multi-specialty, ambulatory surgical clinics in the country.

The LH Paragon Group of Companies has holdings in various businesses in the Philippines engaged in different industries, including fashion retailing, wood distribution, real estate development, food retailing, graphics printing, automotive distribution and medical services. (PR)
