A HIGH-VALUE individual (HVI) and two others were arrested while some P128,000 worth of illegal drugs were seized in separate anti-drug operations in Zamboanga Peninsula, the police reported Thursday, January 14, 2021.

Police Captain Edwin Duco, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula information officer, identified the arrested HVI as Jonathan Ministerio Alvarez alias Atan, 32.

Duco said Alvarez was arrested in a buy-bust operation around 5:40 p.m. Wednesday in Purok Alibangbang in Santo Niño village, Tukuran, Zamboanga del Sur.

Recovered from his possession were some 10 grams of suspected shabu with P68,000, an unregistered tricycle, marked money and a cellular phone.

Duco identified the other two arrested suspects as Danny Pallega, 30, a drug watch-listed street-level individual; and Christian Noel Sison, 20.

Pallega was arrested in possession of some P15,000 worth of suspected shabu and P500 marked money in a buy-bust operation Wednesday in Santo Niño village, Salug, Zamboanga del Norte.

Seized from Sison were P45,000 worth of suspected shabu, nine pieces of P1,000 boodle money topped with one genuine P1,000 bill as marked money.
