Dried blood of St. Januarius failed to liquefy last December

THE Blessed Mother’s warning given to Sister Agnes Sasagawa on October 13, 1973, in the Church-approved apparitions in Akita, Japan is now with us.

What was the warning? Let me recall the words of our Blessed Mother:

“The work of the devil will infiltrate even into the Church in such a way that one will see cardinals opposing cardinals and bishops against other bishops. The priests who venerate me will be scorned and opposed by their confreres... churches and altars sacked; the Church will be full of those who accept compromises and the demon will press many priests and consecrated souls to leave the service of the Lord.”

Yes, let us pray for Pope Francis who, despite being accused of confusing the faithful, was prophesied by mystic Fr. Michel Rodrigue as one who would die a martyr.

There is indeed some strangeness surrounding the papacy of Francis.

Recall that on the night that Pope Benedict XVI announced his resignation on February 11, 2017, two bolts of lightning hit the dome of St. Peter’s Basilica. A photo of this was caught on camera and swamped the internet the following day. Francis was to be elected pope later on.

In December the following year, Pope Francis was flanked by two children at the window of the Vatican whose concourse was filled by the faithful out to witness the youths release two white “peace doves” during the Angelus.

“A seagull and a crow swept down on the doves after they were set free from the Apostolic Palace during the Pope's weekly Angelus prayer. Tens of thousands of people watched as one dove struggled to break free. But the (black) crow pecked repeatedly at the other dove. It is not clear what happened to the doves that flew away,” said a report the following day.

The irony of the doves of peace and the birds of prey was too much for the thousands who witnessed the incident which inspired tens of thousands of Tweets and Facebook posts which were replete with common words such as "demonic," "omen," and "apocalypse.”

Again the following year, on March 21, 2015, on the feast of St. Benedict, Pope Francis visited the cathedral of Naples and kissed the relic containing the dried blood of St. Januarius.

It is known that the dried blood, which is kept in a flask-like reliquary in the cathedral, miraculously turns into liquid three times a year on very specific days: on the Saturday before the first Sunday in May; on September 19, which is the feast of St. Januarius; and on December 16.

Yet, when Pope Francis kissed the reliquary on March 15, a date outside the usual schedule, the dried blood liquefied but only halfway.

Noted one report the following day: “The dried blood liquefied unexpectedly but only partially, which, having been noted by Archbishop Crescenzio Sepe, caused Francis to exclaim: ‘The bishop just announced that the blood half-liquefied. We can see the saint only half loves us.’ Some media outlets later reported, tongue-in-cheek, that Francis had performed ‘half a miracle.’”

It has been widely believed that the failure of the blood to liquefy is an omen.

Now take note: 0n December 16 only last year, a date when St. Januarius’ dried blood was supposed to turn into liquid, it remained solid. A video of this is on YouTube, a non-miracle that became a big news story.

The Italian daily Il Mattino reported on this, even releasing a video clip of the ceremony at which the saint’s blood was expected, but failed to liquefy.

“The last time the blood failed to liquefy was December 16, 2016, a year in which Italy had been rattled by a number of earthquakes, centered around Norcia (Nursia), the birthplace of St. Benedict, the father of Western monasticism. The last such earthquake destroyed the basilica built over the spot where the saint and his twin sister, St. Scholastica, are believed to have been born,” recalled one report.

In September 1980, the blood also did not liquefy that an earthquake devastated Italy on November 23 in the same year.

History also records that the blood did not liquefy in the year that devastation was wrought on Italy when Mt. Vesuvius erupted in 1631.

And now, back to mystic Luz de Maria de Bonilla and excerpts from her message from Our Lord Jesus Christ last January 12:

“Evil takes pleasure in watching man suffer more and more in order to discourage him, and thus, to surrender to what is easy, even if he thereby loses his soul.

“Beloved people, remain ready to be tested in your Faith by those who control humanity and are in charge of the single religion, which excludes Me, as it is not My Will but the creation of the human will for purposes of world domination. Be aware that Faith will be tested in all aspects of human life, since on My People’s journey, religion, education, moral formation, the economy....

“I wait with Divine Patience for sinners to repent and I call those who feel they love Me to give themselves totally to Me, strengthening themselves in Faith without empty words and hollow hearts...

“At this very difficult time for humanity, the attack of diseases created by misused science will continue to increase, preparing humanity so that it would voluntarily request the mark of the beast, not only in order not to become sick, but to be supplied with what will soon be materially lacking, forgetting spirituality due to a weak Faith.

“The time of the great famine is advancing like a shadow over humanity that is unexpectedly facing radical changes, reducing its crops due to changing climates...

“My beloved People, strong earthquakes will wreak havoc; pray for the countries for which we have asked you to pray, including Singapore and Australia...

“Beloved People of Mine, pray for the institution of My Church, it is staggering.

“Discern, beloved children: traveling unnecessarily will cause you to be permanent foreigners in lands that are not your own. You will continue to live with the anxiety of borders that close unexpectedly.

“...Do not fear! I will be with you until the end. The Immaculate Heart of My Mother will triumph, and you are her children. I am waiting for you, come to Me.”
