Cagayan de Oro logs 11 new Covid-19 cases; total now at 3,136

ELEVEN residents of Cagayan de Oro have tested positive for the novel coronavirus, bringing the total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in the city to 3,136, an official said Tuesday, January 19, 2021.

Acting City Health Officer Dr. Lorraine Nery said of the 11 new local Covid-19 cases, two are local cases with link and nine are local index cases.

Of the 3,136 total Covid-19 cases in the city, 417 are under the returning overseas Filipino workers/locally stranded individuals (ROFs/LSIs) category and 2,719 cases are local transmissions.

According to Nery, the 2,719 local cases consist of 182 persons deprived of liberty (PDLs), 1,385 local index cases and 1,152 local cases with link.

Cagayan de Oro has recorded 360 active cases, 111 of whom are admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, 237 are outpatients, and 12 are ROFs/LSIs.

The city also registered six new coronavirus-positive persons who are now tagged as "recovered," bringing the total number of recoveries in Cagayan de Oro to 2,615.

Of the figure, 294 are LSIs, 110 are ROFs and 2,211 are local cases (community: 1,860; Apors: 351).

The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city is at 161.
