THIRD District Representative Aurelio Gonzales Jr. led the initial briefing on Tuesday, January 19, as chair of the House Special Committee on Bases Conversion.
The meeting discussed the mandates, corporate structures, areas of operations, current and long term programs, projects, activities and other pertinent information relating to the Bases Conversion Development Authority (BCDA) and its affiliates.
Gonzales said that despite the pandemic, the committee is still committed to address the key challenges and gaps of each respective agency.
He thanked the resource persons for extending their support in his leadership and hopes that together, they can push forward vital infrastructures and create economic opportunities in the country.
Guests who attended the briefing include BCDA President Vivencio Dizon, EVP Aileen Anunciacion Zoa and SVP Joshua Bingcang; Clark Development Corporation (CDC) President Manuel R. Gaerlan and Walter San Diego; Clark International Airport Corporation (CIAC) AVP Darwin Cunanan; John Hay Management Corporation President Allan R. Garcia and lawyer Bevienne Malateo; Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) chairperson and administrator Atty. Wilma Eisma and lawyer Ramon Agregado; and Poro Point Management Corporation (PPMC) director Edgar Santo and Josefa Catherine Bada.
The attendees adhered to strict health protocols and submitted their respective Health Declaration Forms prior to the meeting.
