While traversing the busy Liloan highway, move on till you arrive at Tayud where you’ll come across an imposing, streamlined, four-storey structure that is the GT NORTHEAST ACADEMY (GTNA). Its chief executive officer is a super-efficient lady engineer, Leonora Salvane.

In her own words, she relates that during this unforeseen, devastating pandemic, the academy naturally suffered birthing pains, especially in the implementation of its new Remote Learning Program (RLP).

Fortunately, with the supportive and understanding parents and guardians, the RLP was off to an impressive start. “Indeed, they became our partners during meetings and consultations,” Salvane said.

For this upcoming school year, 2021-2022, GTNA is proud to offer a much improved RLP to its students which include Nursery One to Kindergarten, Grade School, Junior High School and Senior High School.

Through its RLP, GTNA aims to ensure that all students will have the rare opportunity to continue learning what focuses on success for the coming school year.

Parents can choose from three options depending on their situation.

Option One: School Provided-Instructional Materials with Teacher Support. This is recommended for working parents of early childhood and elementary students wherein nobody from the family can monitor the student in attending online classes.

The school provides instructional materials weekly, and the parent/guardian will pick this up or have it delivered to the home. The parent will then inform the school of her available time from Monday to Saturday, in order to conduct a special online class.

Option Two: Teacher-Led Instruction Online with Teacher Support and Support program, which is a mix of online and offline teaching.

Option Three is the Teacher-Led Full Digital Instruction with Teacher Support and Support Programs.

In addition, GTNA will continue to provide guidance and support through the following programs: 1) Grab and Go Foodpacks (early childhood pupils only). 2) Counseling and Health Consultation 3) Technical Support, and 4) Advisory Checkup.

Further, GTNA has realized that because the Education sector is one of the most vulnerable during this pandemic, it has designed its RLP as a blend of real-time, flexible, technological and non-technological options that fit best for students, families and teachers. In this manner, no matter how the new normal is implemented, GT Northeast Academy will adhere to its vision-mission of providing solid, basic education and promoting holistic formation to the youth of today.

To let more parents know of its RLP, GTNA is inviting everyone to its Early Childhood Virtual Open House on the following dates via Zoom:

Batch 1: Jan. 23, Saturday, 9 to 11 a.m., and Batch 2: Feb. 20, Saturday, 9 to 11 a.m. The school is also accepting reservations for School Year 2021-2022, from Nursery 1 to Senior High School. Please contact its Information office at 0920-281-6086.
