THE San Carlos City Tourism Office has reoriented the organizers of meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (Mice) in the city including restaurants and accommodation establishment representatives on health and safety protocols in light of the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) treat.

Among the guidelines presented were the operations of Mice organizers, guest handling, and taking charge of the venues, facilities and suppliers under the "new normal" condition.

City Tourism Operations Officer 1 Jennifer Saballa, who spoke at the two-day activity held at the Sangguniang Panlungsod Session Hall until yesterday, said it is important to set guidelines under the "new normal" to ensure the health and safety of both the clients and workers.

Saballa said the reorientation is pursuant to Section 3 of Executive Order No. 01 series of 2021.

Under which, hotels, restaurants, bars and resorts, among others, may operate until midnight but subject to the minimum health protocols and within 50 percent seating capacity only before they can obtain a special permit from the local government, she added.

The participants included representatives of 10.9, Ma. Awani, Shell Function Room, Teacher's Cooperative, Carmel's Inn and Restaurant, Palau Hotel, Dungganon, Alger's Community Center and city auditorium, among others.
