PCP grants UCMed Level II Provisional Accreditation status for Internal Medicine Residency Program

THE University of Cebu Medical Center (UCMed) is proud to announce that the Philippine College of Physicians (PCP) has granted the UCMed Internal Medicine Residency Training Program Provisional II Accreditation status effective Jan. 1 to Dec. 31, 2021.

With this accreditation, UCMed is now duly authorized to train Level 1 and 2 residents in the field of Internal Medicine. The residency program is committed to developing and maintaining a program that maximizes the potential of all trainees to produce exemplary, dedicated and person-centered internists in the future.

The Department of Internal Medicine of UCMed is now accepting incoming residents to its roster.

Spearheaded by its chairman Dr. Lamberto M. Garcia Jr. and training officer Dr. Nello Bayani IV R. Roa Jr., the Department of Internal Medicine welcomes applicants for this year and aims to make the residency program a leading training vehicle designed to level up medical professionals into competent

and ethical internists.

Aside from the Internal Medicine department, UCMed boasts four other residency programs: Anesthesiology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Orthopedics and Surgery. Interested residency applicants may contact 0925 558 9824 / 0977 809 6788 or 888 2168 for an interview.

Apart from the residency training program, the Internal Medicine Department also offers a Telemedicine Program. This valuable service is a form of patient care extended to those adults who would want to avail themselves of free medical consultation through phone, making it more convenient to patients.

The Telemedicine program provides quality, safe and affordable healthcare to those who want to avail themselves of consultations in comfort and to those who are financially disadvantaged. This program is part of UCMed’s Social Service Charity Program.

Patients can book an appointment at ucmed.ph/charityconsult or call UCMed at 032-5170888. SPONSORED CONTENT
