THE activities for the celebration of the 500 years of Christianity would still depend on the situation of the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) in the city, said Acting Cebu City Mayor Michael Rama.
Rama, in a press conference Thursday, January 21, 2021, said whether physical or virtual, the working group for the event will still have to assess the Covid-19 situation in the city.
The celebration for the 500 years of Christianity will be in April.
Rama called for a press conference on January 21 to thank the people behind the success of the virtual Sinulog 2021.
With the cancellation of the physical cultural activities last Sinulog, the Sinulog Foundation Inc. (SFI) and Sinulog 2021 steering committee will prioritize the contingents who were supposed to compete in the Sinulog 2021.
In the same press conference, Rama assured the contingents that they will receive the cash subsidies from the City Government. (JJL)
