GLOBE has officially launched new partnerships with the local government units (LGUs) of General Santos City and Koronadal City to provide affordable internet access to residents and communities via KonekTayo WiFi.
Formerly known as “KapitWiFi,” “KonekTayo WiFi is a fast and secure community Wi-Fi service that aims to provide households with affordable internet. Customers simply need to connect to the KonekTayo WiFi Hotspot, purchase a package and surf all day.
KonekTayo WiFi is part of Globe’s continuous efforts to make the internet accessible to Filipinos especially during this time. Together with partner communities, Globe is able to provide equal opportunities and affordable connectivity services for online learning, small online businesses, work-from-home and critical communication needs, as well as push acceleration of digital transformation across various LGUs. This has been well underway in 2020 and is targeted to reach more communities in 2021.
