TEN residential houses were gutted by fire in Calbayog City Thursday, January 21, 2021.
In an initial investigation, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said the blaze started at the house of a certain Arnel Sese of Barangay Capoocan before it spread to other houses around 1 p.m. Thursday.
Police officers also rushed to the scene to ensure the flow of traffic and secure the area to avoid looting.
No loss of life was reported after fire-out was declared around 1:30 p.m.
The total estimated damage to properties reached P400,000, according to the report.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire. (SunStar Philippines)
