THE Department of Science and Technology (DOST) opened the first OneSTore Hub in Central Luzon recently, which aims to provide customers with an effortless shopping experience and retailers with simple and direct access to one of the largest customer-based platforms in the country.
The project is housed in a two-story building built inside Central Luzon State University through the help of DOST and the City Government of Muñoz.
DOST Provincial Science and Technology Director Leidi Mel Sicat said the project aimed to widen market opportunities of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the region.
The first floor of the building facility will be used to showcase and sell local products. There were already products from provinces like Aurora, Zambales, Aparri, Tuguegarao and Bohol.
OneSTore Hub is part of OneSTore.ph, which is an e-commerce web application that operates nationwide and caters primarily to Philippine consumers.
OneSTore is one of the flagship programs of the DOST that assists MSMEs to improve their productivity and widen the scope of their target market.
