THE total number of coronavirus deaths in Central Luzon has now reached 1,007, according to a January 22 bulletin of the Department of Health (DOH).
The DOH said the deaths represented 3.7 percent of the total number of confirmed cases in the region, which now stands at 27,056, as of January 22.
Some 23,636 cases have since recovered from the virus.
The number of active cases has been recorded at nine percent or 2,413 cases.
Of the active cases, 862 were asymptomatic while 1,482 displayed mild symptoms. Eight patients were showing moderate symptoms while 49 were severe. Another 12 cases were in critical condition, according to the DOH.
For January 22 alone, 90 active cases were recorded in Pampanga, 76 in Bulacan and another 16 in Tarlac. Angeles City recorded 10 cases.
