4 nabbed in anti-drug operation

FOUR people, including one drug surrenderer, were arrested in separate anti-drug operations in Isabela City, Basilan and in this city, officials announced Saturday, January 23, 2021.

The police identified the arrested suspects as follows: Michael Navarro Jolatoria, 28; Earl Patrick Tan Sanchez Danial, 26; Ameer Amilasan Donaire, 18; and, Roberto Bacolod Sanchez Jr., 37.

Police Captain Melvin Solmayor, Station Drug Enforcement Team (SDET) chief of Isabela City Police Station, said that Jolatoria, a drug surrenderer, and Danial were arrested in a buy-bust operation around 3 p.m. Friday, January 22, 2021 in Lanote village.

Solmayor said that Jolatoria surrendered to the authorities in July 2016.

He said recovered from the two suspects were some P3,400 worth of suspected shabu packed in five heat-sealed plastic sachets and P300 marked money.

Police Captain Martin Baclayo, Zamboanga City Police Office’s (ZCPO) Station 2 chief, said said that Donaire and Sanchez were arrested in a buy-bust operation around 6:55 p.m. Friday at Sitio Asinan in Talon-Talon village.

Baclayo said seized from them were some P6,500 worth of suspected shabu packed in eight heat-sealed plastic sachets and P200 marked money.

The two officials said that the arrested suspects were detained while formal charges are set to be filed against them. (SunStar Zamboanga)
